Beach Volleyball for the Articles
Claiming to watch women's beach volleyball for
the high-quality volleyball might sound a little like claiming to read Playboy
for the high-quality articles.
Congratulations to Kerri Walsh and Misty May on
winning the gold medal in women's beach volleyball. With TiVo's help I was able
to catch every match leading up to the gold. Lots of good quality
volleyball.
And if wearing skimpy
bikinis is what it takes to get more prime-time exposure, to get more sponsors,
to increase the stakes, to lure better players, to increase the quality and
availability of the sport, then I'm all for it. But only for the
volleyball.
