Rob 'n' Robyn


Rob 'n' Robyn visited us for a week, using our house as a base camp to explore the area. It was a fun week.

The day after they arrived from Dallas we somehow conned them into a 9 mile hike around the PG&E trail at Rancho San Antonio. They might not have attempted it if they had known how much work we had signed up for but we made it all the way to the top! The exercise made the satisfying lunch at La Fiesta afterwards taste even better. Either it wasn't all that bad, or our memory of the pain dimmed because we repeated the hike the next weekend, including La Fiesta lunch afterwards.

Throughout the week we used our pool and hot tub more than we have all year, including spending all day Monday hanging out in the pool with friends.

During the week, RnR drove the new Z to Napa for a tour of the wine country. The wine country is always fun, and driving it in the Z sounds like a fun time to me. They seemed to enjoy it too. After the wine country they headed south on Highway 17 to Monterey Bay Aquarium.

The week went by too quickly. Can't wait for their next visit. Here we are after our second hike. That's me wearing my goofy adventure hat.
