Eugene, OR


We travelled to Eugene, OR last weekend to visit our friends Bob and Anne.

We arrived in Eugene on Talk Like A Pirate Day, which we exploited to the fullest. (Arrrr, matey! Ahoy!) It was not a coincidence that the Stanford women's volleyball team was playing at the University of Oregon in Eugene Friday night. We went to the game and watched Stanford beat the Ducks in 3 games.

The Eugene Celebration was going on while we were there so we got up early Saturday and went to the Celebration Parade, which was tons of fun.

We ate dinner at The LocoMotive as we have on every visit to Eugene. Excellent and unusual vegetarian food. The main meal was superb and we were quite full, but somehow our table managed to order one of almost every dessert choice. Yum!

Sunday we listened to Soromundi Chorus , a lovely community choir group that Anne participates in.
