Z_Ferrari


Did my buddy steal my thunder by showing up in his new Ferrari the day I was showing off my new Z?

If you've been following along (Zzzzz, Buttery Snick) then you already know I got a new 2004 350Z a couple months ago. The day I met my buddy for lunch to show him my Z for the first time, he arrived in his shiny red Ferrari 360 Modena F1! Gulp! Now, my enthusiasm for my new Z did not wane one bit (still hasn't, really), but it was somewhat overshadowed by the excitement of seeing his Ferrari for the first time. I mean, my 350Z is nice and fun and zippy, but when I Z_parked next to his Ferrari the Z faded slightly towards ordinary. The Ferrari is exotic, the 400 horsepower mid-engine visible through the rear window, the fast tight race-engine sound, the red-stitched leather on every conceivable interior surface (including the rear-view mirror and the key fob). Wow!

Later we joked that he kinda stole my thunder a little bit by showing up in his Ferrari the day I was showing off my new Z. Nah...well, maybe just a little. I'm still excited by my Z, and I'm excited by his Ferrari too.
